Anh Le Busts

Anh Le, who finished this event in second place both last year and back in 2005, will not be bettering the result this year as she's already bust.

Verrett Busto

Melissa Verrett is a goner. Nancy Bane just limped in and Verrett shoved with {A-?} {Q-?}, but Bane was sitting on {A-?} {K-?} and a harmless board later, we are down one visor-wearing blonde.

Bane, meanwhile, is up to 129,000.

Lori on a Bender

Lori Bender is up to 60,000 -- most recently, she called a short stack's desperate {Q-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} shove, had the short stack dominated with {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} and proceeded to flop a jack to bust her hapless opponent.

Get Gromenk-Over It

A bit of a disaster for Svetlana Gromenkova -- a preflop raising war resulted in Lisa Hamilton all in and Gromenkova calling. She stayed behind all the way and dropped to 43,000, while Hamilton is up to 70,000.

Hamilton: {J-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}
Gromenkova: {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts}

Board: {Q-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {K-Spades}

Morelli Wins Monster Pot

An enormous three-way monster pot erupted when Amanda Cook moved in from the hijack and Mari Lou Morelli called from the button, only for Leah Albritton to re-shove from the small blind. Eventually Morelli called, and it was the right decision -- she proceeded to knock out both players in one fell swoop, and is up to 97,000.

Cook: {7-Clubs} {9-Spades}
Albritton: {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts}
Morelli: {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}

Board: {8-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {8-Clubs} {A-Clubs}

Abarbanel Busts

Abarban-out
Abarban-out
Brett Abarbanel will not be going any further in this tournament after getting it in with {K-?} {9-?} to a raise from Laura Rody. Rody called with {Q-?} {J-?} -- all good for Abarbanel, until Rody made a runner-runner flush to send her to the rail.

The Bane of Volynsky's Life

Victoria Volynsky is out after pushing for her last 8,600 to an under-the-gun raise from Nancy Bane. Bane duly called, the two duly flipped, and Volynsky duly exited the tournament. Bane is up to over 100,000 now.

Bane: {K-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}
Volynsky: {5-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}

Board: {9-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {J-Spades} {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts}
