How Neighborly of Him

John Monnette raised to open the pot from the button, and Ben Boyd three-bet him from the small blind. Monnette put in the extra bet and it was heads up from here on out.

The flop came {A-Hearts} {2-Spades} {3-Clubs}. Boyd led out, Monnette raised, and Boyd called.

The turn card came the {3-Spades}, and both players checked. On the river, the {9-Clubs} drew a bet from Boyd, and Monnette thought it over before splashing in the calling chips.

Boyd opened up his hand, revealing {A-Spades} {3-Hearts} {5-Spades} {9-Hearts} for threes full of aces. It was the winner; Monnette mucked his hand and sent a good chunk of his stack to his next-door neighbor.
