Poker players come from all backgrounds and all walks of life, but I have to say that man of the cloth is one of the more unlikely professions for a gentleman seated at a WSOP table.

Nevertheless, spying a gentleman at the tables wearing the traditional dog collar, I couldn't help but be curious. Prop bet seemed more likely somehow, but Mr. Michael Wernette, of Chicago, assures us that he is indeed a bona fide priest, trying his luck right here in the Amazon Room. He's currently on around 9,500 in chips -- below average, but he's not in need of any divine intervention just yet. Marvellous.
