Pham vs. Wolpert: Rivering Two Pair

Leo Wolpert has a tough draw against the aggressive David Pham, but Wolpert isn't backing down.

On a flop of {4-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {8-Clubs}, Wolpert bet out 2,400. Pham raised to 7,400, and Wolpert made the call.

Both players checked the {J-Clubs} on the turn. The river brought the {9-Hearts}, and Wolpert took control of the betting again. He slid out 14,200 chips, and Pham wasted little time making the call.

Wolpert showed down {Q-Hearts} {9-Clubs}, while Pham flashed the {Q-Spades} and mucked his cards. He has slipped down to 39,000, and Wolpert is well ahead with 201,000.

Jonathan Jaffe Defeats Dario Minieri

In a back and fourth battle, Jonathan Jaffe managed to regain the chip lead against Dario Minieri. With a large advantage, Jaffe raised to 4,000 from the button and Minieri moved all in for 34,000. Jaffe called with {K-Clubs} {9-Clubs} , dominating Minieri's {K-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} .

The board offered no help to Minieri and he is eliminated from the tournament.

Carroll Coolered; Nathan Doudney Advances

On a turn board showing {10-Hearts} {7-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}, Cory Carroll bet out, Nathan Doudney raised, and Carroll three-bet all in. Doudney called, having his opponent covered.

Showdown
Carroll: {6-Diamonds} {8-Spades}
Doudney: {8-Diamonds} {J-Spades}

Carroll had flopped the straight, but Doudney had flopped the nut straight. Left drawing only to a chop, Carroll saw the river bring a useless {6-Spades}, and he has been eliminated. Nathan Doudney is moving on, in the money now.

Madsen vs. O'Dwyer: Back to Even

Jeff Madsen raised to 2,100 from the button, and Steve O'Dwyer made the call. The flop came out {7-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}, and O'Dwyer check-called a bet of 4,500. Fourth street was the {A-Diamonds}, and O'Dwyer check-called again, this time matching the 10,500 chips from Madsen.

The last card off was the {9-Hearts}. O'Dwyer moved all in for 42,500, and Madsen snap-called him.

O'Dwyer tabled {A-Clubs} {7-Spades} for the full book. Madsen frowned and mucked his cards, and that match has drawn back to dead even, 120,000 apiece.
