Torelli vs. Stokes: A Reach is Enough

Jamin Stokes opened with a button raise to 25,000, and Alec Torelli made the call from the big blind. The flop came {A-Spades} {8-Spades} {6-Clubs}. Torelli led out with a bet of 30,000, drawing a raise to 80,000 from Stokes. Torelli thought it over and called.

Fourth street brought the {5-Clubs}. Torelli had given up the betting lead, and he checked. Stokes reached for chips, and Torelli quickly slid his cards into the muck.

On to the next hand.

Jamin Stokes Takes Out Alec Torelli

Jamin Stokes - Advances
Jamin Stokes - Advances
Alec Torelli open-shoved for about 250,000 with {A-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}. Jamin Stokes looked down at {A-Hearts} {9-Spades} and made the call to put Torelli in danger.

The flop was a pretty big hit for Stokes, coming {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}. The {6-Diamonds} on the turn meant Torelli was drawing dead, and the meaningless {2-Hearts} completed the board.

After a long match with some big swings, Alec Torelli has been knocked out.
