Ivey Makes the Money, But Doesn't Get a Bracelet

Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey
After losing a big pot just before the money bubble, Phil Ivey got his last 6,100 chips into the middle on a six-way limped flop that fell {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

Everyone in the hand folded, except for Isaac Baron who held {7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{J-Spades} for trip tens vs. Ivey's {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a wrap that didn't come when the board finished with the {A-Spades} and {3-Diamonds}.

Ivey left in 44th place earning $4,883.

Andreas Krause Eliminated by Jacob Elbaz

Andreas Krause got the rest of his stack in on a {10-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} flop against Jacob Elbaz, who had him covered.

Krause {A-Hearts} {7-Spades} {6-Spades} {5-Hearts}
Elbaz {A-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {3-Hearts}

The turn fell the {K-Clubs}, making Elbaz the nut flush. The river was the {2-Hearts} and Krause's tournament was at an end with a 43rd place finish.

Elbaz is now up to 80,000.

Steve Sung Takes a Big Pot

Steve Sung and David Ewing got into a raising war after a flop of {5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, with Ewing check-raising and Sung reraising all in. Ewing called and we saw their cards.

Sung: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}
Ewing: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{J-Diamonds}

Ewing's set was ahead, but Sung had both flush and straight draws, and made his wheel when the {3-Spades} fell on the turn. When the {8-Clubs} failed to pair the board on the river, Sung took the 197,000 chip pot and Ewing was left with just 22,000.

Noah Boeken Eliminated

There is one less Ed Hardy hoodie in the field.

On a flop of {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {8-Clubs}, Noah Boeken moved all in from the big blind for 13,800, Pavel Milanov moved all in behind him for 37,200 and the cutoff folded.

Boeken {10-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {3-Spades} {2-Clubs}
Minalov {J-Clubs} {J-Spades} {10-Spades} {6-Clubs}

Boeken was drawing extremely slime, Minalov having a jack-high flush draw and an overpair to Boeken's lower flush draw. The turn was the {J-Diamonds}, the river was the {2-Spades}, and Minalov claimed the remainder of Boeken's chips, sending the Dutchman to the rail in 37th place.

Kevin Murphy Doubles Through Jakcob Elbaz

I am stoic, and I make straights
I am stoic, and I make straights
Aces cracked again... seems to be a running theme today.

Kevin Murphy was all in pre-flop against Jakcob Elbaz, his {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {8-Spades} trying to hit against Elbaz's {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}.

The board, however, ran out {9-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {J-Spades} , Murphy making a queen-high straight to double his stack to 57,000. Elbaz was left with 38,000 after the hand.

Kegel Pushes; Busts

Dr. Kegel
Dr. Kegel
Dr. Kegel and Pavel Milanov both limped into the pot before it was raised to 15,000 by Jeff Kimber. Brian Alioa reraised all in for his last 22,500. He was called all around and four players saw the flop of {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

Action checked to Kimber, who bet 83,500 and, when Milanov and Alioa folded, he went head to head to with Kegel.

Kegel: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Kimber: {Q-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

When the board completed with the {9-Clubs} and {6-Clubs}, Kimber's two pair held up and his chip stack grew to 235,000.
