Theory and Practice

David Sklansky raised to 250 from the hijack seat, and both the player sitting to his left in the cutoff and the small blind called. The flop came {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Spades}, and all three players checked. The turn was the {9-Hearts}. It checked to the cutoff who bet 400. Both the SB and Sklansky called.

The river was the {A-Hearts}. It again checked to the cutoff, who this time bet 900. The small blind quickly called, and Sklansky folded.

The CO tabled {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. The SB showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and dragged the pot. Sklansky is at about 3,500 right now.
