The Van is Rolling

Van Marcus
Van Marcus
Van Marcus' new-found chips are giving him some ammunition to fire at pots. After Cliff Josephy opened for 70,000 and was called by Sorel Mizzi, Marcus called a pot-sized reraise (316,000 by our gorilla math). Josephy and Mizzi quickly folded.

Samuel Ngai - 9th Place
Samuel Ngai - 9th Place
The action developed very quickly between Van Marcus and Samuel Ngai. Marcus opened with a pot-sized raise to 84,000. Ngai was next to act and called "re-pot", which was enough to put himself all in. All other passed to Marcus, who quickly called.

Marcus: {A-Hearts} {A-Spades} {7-Clubs} {6-Hearts}
Ngai: {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}

Single-suited aces for Marcus against single-suited kings for Ngai. The board rolled out a relatively benign {J-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {j-Clubs}. Marcus dragged the pot with jacks full of aces; Ngai headed for the cage to collect $43,539.

The turn brought the 6d. Action checked to Rifat who bet 75,000. All other players folded their hands until Ramos announced a raise of 225,000 from the big blind.

Not afraid of the check raise, Palevic then reraised pot to 845,000. Ramos called all in.
