Rheem's Day is Over

Chino Rheem's roller coaster day ended at the hands of Joe McGowan.

Rheem moved in for 51,800 from the small blind and McGowan called from middle position. Rheem showed {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} while McGowan held {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

A board of {7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{3-Spades} offered nothing to help Rheem's hand, and he went to the rail. McGowan has 145,000.

Pieter de Korver Busts

Steven Tabb raised to 8,000 from the button and Pieter de Korver came over the top for nearly 70,000 from the small blind. Tabb made the call.

Tabb: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
de Korver: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

A flop of {9-Spades}{J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} put Tabb way in front, and his lead held when the board finished {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. Tabb now has 140,000.

Fifth Round Pay Outs

The next group of players are walking away with $5,614 in their back pockets.

84 - Brandon Demes
85 - Vadim Shlez

A Good Turn for Cole

Corwin Cole
Corwin Cole
We caught this hand as Corwin Cole shipped his stack into the middle on a board of {J-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Carl Sumi made the call and showed {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}, which put him way ahead of Cole's {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. That all changed when the turn brought the {7-Spades} and, when Sumi couldn't find a king on the river, Cole doubled up to 260,000.

Sumi was left with just 60,000 after the hand.

Sparta Triumphs Again

Jason Gray raised to 8,000 and Jim Pechac reraised all in for just 5,000 more. Action moved to Phil Sparta, who reraised to 30,000, prompting Gray to fold.

Heading to the flop, Peshac showed {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and couldn't catch Sparta's {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} when the board ran {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

The hand moved Sparta up to 490,000.

Brandon Demes Eliminated

Brandon Demes moved all in with pocket fives before the flop and got called by Donovan Panone, who held pocket tebs.

A board of {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} provided no help for Demes, who is now done for the day.

Woods Gets Woodall

Warren Woodall
Warren Woodall
Warren Woodall raised to 13,500 from early position and action folded back to Darren Woods who called from the big blind.

Woods bet 20,000 on a flop of {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Woodall took his time before making the call. The {2-Clubs} paired the board on the turn and Woods asked Woodall for a chip count before leading out for 65,000. Woodall again took his time before finally mucking his hand. His stack is now at 140,000.
