Baker in the Fire

David Baker is down to just 20,000 after a blind-on-blind confrontation with Jared O'Dell.

Baker bet every street of the {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {K-Spades} {9-Spades} board, but just mucked sadly when O'Dell turned over {A-Clubs} {5-Hearts}.

O'Dell picked up some much-needed chips and is up to 100,000.

Tony Pirone Is Gone-y

Short-stacked Tony Pirone and Ron Burke saw a {6-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {4-Spades} flop, and Pirone got all but 2,000 or so of his chips in. Come the {A-Diamonds} turn Burke seemed to forget what he was doing for a moment and someone pointed out to him that maybe he should bet to put Pirone all in. "Don't tell him what to do!" said Pirone, but obviously there was no question that his chips were going in.

Pirone: {7-Hearts} {10-Hearts}
Burke: {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}

River: {3-Clubs}

Out he goes.

David Baker Eliminated in 14th Place ($10,554)

David Baker -  14th Place
David Baker - 14th Place
A short stacked David Baker raised from UTG and was called by Marc Naalden in the BB before a {8-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} flop came down. Naalden checked to see Baker move all in. Baker shrugged and called with {K-Hearts} {4-Clubs} and was surprised to be ahead as Baker opened {J-Spades} {10-Spades}.

The turn {7-Hearts} and river {4-Hearts} came to eliminate Baker and edge us nearer to a final table.

Yan Li Eliminated in 13th Place ($10,554)

Yan Li found himself all in preflop with two callers in the shape of Marc Naalden and Alex Keating. They both checked it all the way down to give a {Q-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} board until Naalden bet on the river; Keating folded.

Li tabled {A-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} but Naalden opened {10-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} for broadway, the pot and a 550,000. Li is our latest casualty.

Painting the Town Red

Pumpkin! Pumpkin!
Pumpkin! Pumpkin!
With a lot of chips already in the pot by the turn of the {J-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {8-Hearts} {8-Clubs} board, Tommy Hang checked and Jameson Painter bet, leaving himself just 5,000 behind. Hang dwelled up for an impressively long time -- and then he folded.

Painter's buddies at the rail celebrated by chanting, "Pumpkin! Pumpkin! Pumpkin!" at high volume, to Painter's gross embarrassment.

He's up to 110,000.

Ron Burke Eliminated in 12th Place ($14,156)

Ron Burke - 12th
Ron Burke - 12th
It was folded around to Rob Burke in the SB who raised and saw Tommy Hang call from the BB to see a {7-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} flop. Burke led out, Hang raised, Burke moved all in and Hang called.

Burke -- {A-Spades} {4-Hearts}
Hang -- {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}.

The turn {J-Diamonds} and river {3-Hearts} confirmed we lose Burke in 12th.

Nancy Blaustein Eliminated in 11th Place ($14,156)

Just like that we lose our last lady standing. The turn had been dealt giving us a {5-Clubs} {2-Spades} {2-Clubs} {10-Spades} board. Tommy Hang led out from the SB to see Nancy Blaustein move all in. He asked her "Do you want me to call?"

"No, I rather win the pot here" was her reply.

He called anyway with {J-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} and saw he was behind to Blaustein's {Q-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}. That all changed when the river fell {J-Hearts} to make two pair for Hang and leave us with our final ten players.
