Ian Johns Eliminated in 3rd Place ($77,576)

Johns - sad face
Johns - sad face
Ian Johns doubled up to 150,000 after his {Q-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} finally stayed ahead of a dominated hand -- namely the {Q-Clubs} {5-Hearts} in the hands of Marc Naalden -- on a {Q-Spades} {2-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {7-Spades} {2-Diamonds} board.

But Naalden took all those chips back again a hand or two later when his continued betting on the {10-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {6-Hearts} board forced Johns to lay it down on the river.

So Johns was down to 30,000 when he moved in on the button. Both players called, and they checked down the {A-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {9-Hearts} {5-Clubs} board until Naalden bet out on the river; Cowley folded.

Naalden turned over {3-Clubs} {6-Clubs} again which had this time made a flush, and Johns just mucked as he exited in third place.
