Davis Doubles

Raymond Davis
Raymond Davis
Raymond Davis got it all in preflop, shoving his last 490,000 chips into the middle. Brandon Cantu was the would-be knocker-out, calling Davis down to put him at risk.

Davis was in good shape though, turning over {J-Hearts} {J-Spades} against Cantu's {A-Spades} {7-Clubs}.

The board paired Cantu's kicker, but he couldn't improve further as the board ran out {4-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {8-Spades}. Davis tallies a big double up, just touching 1,000,000 chips now.

Nicholson Wins the Race, Cripples Iacovone

Donald Nicholson raised from middle position, and Michele Iacovone moved all in from the button. When it came back to Nicholson, he double-checked to make sure he had {6-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} and made the call. Iacovone had his man slightly covered, racing for the knockout with {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts}.

There wasn't much of a sweat for the all-in player as the flop brought him a third six. In the end, the board of {6-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {3-?} made him sixes full and gave him the double up. He's moved to 515,000, leaving Iacovone crippled all the way down to just 55,000.

Michele Iacovone Eliminated in 16th Place ($27,461)

Michele Iacovone moved all in under the gun for 170,000 with {K-Clubs} {J-Hearts}. Tyler Spalding was in the big blind with the big stack, and he made the call with {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades} to put Iacovone at risk.

The flop was great news for the at-risk player, coming {5-Clubs} {2-Spades} {J-Spades} to pair him up and put him in the lead. The {10-Hearts} on the turn opened the door for Spalding though, and he began calling for his queen. The dealer obliged him, ripping off the {Q-Hearts} on the river to improve him to the winning Broadway straight.

With that, Michele Iacovone has been sent to the rail.

Zachary Humphrey Eliminated in 15th Place ($39,246)

Zachary Humphrey - 15th Place
Zachary Humphrey - 15th Place
All of Zachary Humphrey's 490,000 chips went in preflop as he held {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}. Brandon Cantu was in there as well, making the call with {A-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} to put Humphrey at risk.

The flop gave Cantu a big lead when it rolled out {K-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {A-Clubs}. The {4-Spades} was a blank on the turn, as was the {J-Clubs} that hit the river. Failing to win his final race, Humphrey has been sent out in 15th place.

Cantu is fighting for the lead again, sitting right now at 1.5 million.

Jacob Tangles With Davis

On a flop of {2-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {2-Spades}, Alex Jacob put out a bet of 40,000. Raymond Davis made the call, and fourth street came the {6-Diamonds}. Jacob fired again, 80,000 this time, and Davis came along once more.

The river was the {10-Hearts}. Jacob loaded another bullet and fired 125,000 more chips at the pot. Davis called, tabling {Q-Spades} {5-Spades}. It was no good though; Jacob's {10-Clubs} {8-Clubs} had missed the flush, but the pair of tens on the end was the winner. He's moved himself up to the 1,700,000, and Davis slips back to 575,000.
