Jamshidi's Turn in the Middle

Sirous Jamshidi put in the first raise and the last call but wound up with absolutely no part of the pot. He raised preflop and was called by Jeff Tunkel from late position and Derek Raymond from the big blind.

Action checed all the way to Tunkel on a flop of {7-Spades} {6-Spades} {5-Spades}. Tunkel made an exploratory bet that both players called. Action was checked through when the turn paired the board {7-Hearts}.

On the river {6-Hearts}, which put a second pair on board, action again checked to Tunkel. He made another bet that both opponents cautiously called. Tunkel showed down a weak flush, {J-Spades} {9-Spades} {10-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds}. It was good for the high half of the pot. Raymond showed down a weak low, {3-Spades} {2-Spades} {k-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}. That was good for the low half of the pot and left Jamshidi to just muck his hand.
