Final Table Minutes Away

We're getting ready for the start of today's final table, with nine players returning to compete for the Mixed Hold 'em bracelet.

Leading the field is Karlo Lopez with 941,000, followed closely by Bhador Ahmadi with 708,000. Barry Greenstein, arguably the best known player in the field, comes in with a relatively short stack of just 193,000.

Stick around for what promises to be an exciting day of action as we play down to a champion.

One Shy at the Start

It looked like we were starting today's action two players short as neither Ylon Schwartz or Matthew Woodward had shown with just minutes to go until the start.

Now, we're just one player down as Schwartz slipped into his seat with just seconds to spare before cards got in the air. There's still been no sign of Woodward though.

Silly Technical Problems

We're having some technical issues with something technical at the final table.

The problem, whatever it is, is being solved by it being repeatedly hit with a hammer. Probably.

A Slow Start

The players don't seem all that aggressive at the start of today's action. It's hard to tell if they're tired or are just taking awhile to get in gear, but at this point, we've only seen two flops as most hands are being won with just a single preflop raise.

Schwartz Gets Off the Schnide

Ylon Schwartz

In our first significant pot of the day, Karlo Lopez raised from late position and Ylon Schwartz called from the big blind.

Schwartz then check-called a flop of {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, and check-raised the {9-Diamonds} on the turn. He bet dark on the river, which brought the {J-Spades}, and Lopez thought for a few seconds before making the call.

Schwartz turned of {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a straight, and Lopez mucked his ace-king face up.
