EFro-ne a Lifeline

Jani Sointula raises UTG and gets called by two players before Eric Froehlich reraises all in. Sointula folds, but the midposition player calls, only to fold when the late position player moves all in.

Froehlich finds himself in a race with {5-Hearts} {5-Spades} against {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} and manages to double up on a {7-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {4-Spades} {3-Hearts} board.

He's back up to about 20,000.

Elezra Continues to Soar

Elezra keeps going up and up. He called an 8,500 bet on a {Q-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {Q-Clubs} board before both players checked the {A-Hearts} turn. The river was the {5-Clubs}. Elezra's opponent bet 13,500, but couldn't get the chip leader off {Q-Hearts} {10-Clubs} which was good to put Elezra up to 110,000.

Griffin Going Up

Gavin Griffin has picked up a decent pot after calling a flop bet and leading the turn and river of a {8-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {6-Spades} {4-Clubs}. His opponent called him down but mucked when he was shown {K-Hearts} {8-Hearts}.

Griffin has 78,000 which is rather good at this point.

Lighting the Fuse

WSOP Main Event finalist Dennis Phillips has been knocked out. He was all in with {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} against Danny Fuse's {A-Clubs} {8-Clubs}; a fatal bullet on the flop enough to put pay to Phillips' hopes.

Julian Thew has also been knocked out.

Elezra Clubs Them All to Death

Eli Elezra
Eli Elezra
Eli Elezra limped UTG. Two players came along for the ride, as do the blinds. The flop is {A-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {3-Clubs} and it was checked to the first over-limper, who bet 1,075.

The button called and the small blind reraised to 3,075. Action was passed back to Elezra, who reraised to 10,500. The first limper pushed, the button folded, the small blind called all in and Elezra called both of them.

Elezra: {6-Clubs} {2-Clubs}
Late position limper: {3-Spades} {3-Hearts}
Small blind: {A-Spades} {4-Hearts}

The turn was the {8-Spades}, and the river the {7-Hearts}. Elezra is up to 95,000

Hou the Man

Jesper Hougaard has knocked out a player. We didn't see the action, just the board of {K-Spades} {2-Spades} {6-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {3-Hearts} that the Dane's {K-Clubs} {8-Clubs} had connected with a lot more kindly than his opponent's hand, which had already been mucked.
