Madsen Going Downsen

Jeff Madsen raises to 2,500 from late position and finds someone reraising all in behind him for 10,600. He's forced to make the call with {10-Clubs} {8-Clubs}, but finds himself ahead of his opponent's {5-Hearts} {4-Hearts}. That is, until the board comes out {6-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}.

Madsen is down to 16,400.

Cunningham River Bluff is Caught

A flop of {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {8-Spades} is checked by the big blind and Allen Cunningham. The big blind leads out for 3,400 on the {10-Clubs} turn, and Cunningham makes the call. On the {5-Clubs} river, the big blind fires again, betting 5,200. Cunningham raises to 21,200.

The big blind makes the call and Cunningham folds what's revealed to be the {A-Clubs} as the big blind shows his {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} for the winning hand.

Williams Woes

After a mid-position limp, Jeff Williams raises and Eli Elezra reraises. The limper and Williams call.

The flop is {9-Spades} {4-Spades} {K-Clubs} and the limper bets, Williams raises, Elezra folds, the limper makes it three bets, Williams makes it four bets and the limper caps it.

Williams then pays off 3,000 on the turn and river when it comes {Q-Diamonds} and {4-Clubs}, and gets shown {A-Spades} {K-Hearts} for his trouble.

The former EPT Monte Carlo winner is down to 25,000.

Survivor Has the Eye of the Tiger...

Jean-Robert Bellande is up to 90,000 after creating a big pot were it was capped preflop in fourway action.

On the board of {J-Clubs} {8-Spades} {9-Diamonds}, all three put three bets in with one player ending up all in.

The {A-Diamonds} on the turn was checked around and Bellande bet the {7-Hearts} river; one of the two remaining players called and the other folded.

Bellande showed {J-Spades} {10-Spades}, which took the pot after the all in player could only table {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} and the other player mucked his hand.

Bellande is up to 90,000 and probably feeling quite happy right now.

Into the Last Hour...

It's the final hour of play here. The field has been utterly decimated, probably more by the limit than the no-limit game.

87 remaining from 527 players and just 54 get paid. Could we reach the money tonight?

Super Barry Goes Ballistic, Exits Are Explosive

"Prepare my raising chips..."
"Prepare my raising chips..."
Barry Greenstein is wielding the poker equivalent of a massive scythe in a major reaping operation that is just cutting through his table...

In just over a few hands he's knocked out two players in quick succession.

First calling the push of the big blind's {K-Clubs} {5-Clubs} with {A-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}, the board coming {K-Hearts} {A-Spades} {8-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {J-Spades}.

Scratch one.

Next his {10-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} holds against {Q-Clubs} {J-Hearts} on a {A-Spades} {4-Spades} {2-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {K-Hearts} board to bust another.

Scratch two.

Greenstein is up to 140,000
