Schwartz On His Way Up...

Ylon Schwartz is almost at the 200,000 mark. First getting Daniel Negreanu to pay off a 31,000 bet on a {K-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {3-Hearts} board. Negreanu even called Schwartz' hand on the river before making the call.

Then Schwartz eliminated Alex Bolton with {A-?} {A-?} against {Q-?} {Q-?} all in preflop to put him close to the 200,000 mark and in sight of the chip lead.

Knock On Wood(ward)

With the board reading {J-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {3-Spades}. Barry Greenstein fired 25,000 and Matt Woodward made the call. The river was the {A-Hearts} and Woodward checked again with Greenstein betting 30,000 this time. Woodward couldn't make the call this time and decided to instead preserve the rest of his 113,000 stack.

Tran-tastic

Kyle Zartman raised to 5,700 and Matt Matros and Mimi Tran both called from the blinds.

The flop was {K-Spades} {5-Hearts} {3-Hearts}, the blinds chekced and Zartman bet 9,400, Matros raised to 30,000 but then Mimi Tran reraised all in for 75,100. Zartman and Matros both folded and Tran showed the {K-Hearts}.

Naalden Busts, Griffin Doubles

Just before the no-limit finished, Gavin Griffin doubled to 115,000 with {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts} on a {3-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {9-Hearts} board against Joey Coden's {7-Clubs} {7-Hearts}. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and the river was the {4-Diamonds} but Griffin had the superior three pair (but only two of them counted).

Griffin has 115,000. Coden down to 26,000.

Marc Naalden though has been knocked out by Howard Kahan. He ran {K-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} into his opponent's {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} with the board coming {2-Spades} {8-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {5-Spades}.

Ngai Ends Zartman

While a flop of {J-?} {2-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} didn't look like a real action flop, the stacks went flying in between Samuel Ngai and Kyle Zartman holding {J-?} {J-?} and {A-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} respectively. The turn was the {5-Spades} and Zartman was reduced to just the {3-Diamonds} to hit, but the river was the {K-Clubs} and he was eliminated.

Ngai is on 180,000.

Ryan Milistis has also been knocked out.

Froehlich Falters

Randy Haddox
Randy Haddox
Randy Haddox (such a great name that just makes me think of sex-obsessed fish) and Eric Froehlich call Casey McCarrel's mid-position raise from the cutoff and the big blind respectively. The flop is {6-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {3-Hearts} and it's checked to Haddox who bets 4,000, Froehlich raises and McCarrel folds. Haddox calls and Froehlich checks the {J-Hearts} turn to him. Haddox bets 8,000 and Froehlich calls with the same pattern repeating itself on the {K-Spades} river.

Haddox flips {A-Hearts} {8-Hearts} for the nuts and Froehlich mucks, he's down to 27,000.
