Cantu Doubles

You Cantu it!
You Cantu it!
Brandon Cantu repotted an early raise of 600 to a total of 2,100. His opponent made the call to see the flop {3-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {2-Spades}.

"Pot!" says the original raiser to effectively put Cantu all in; and with only 2,900 behind, Cantu makes the call.

Cantu: {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {7-Spades}
Opponent: {2-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {3-Spades} {Q-Spades}

The turn of the {J-Diamonds} saw Cantu take the lead before the {5-Spades} fell on the river to give Cantu the scoop to over 10,000 in chips.

Shulman Doubles

Barry Shulman has managed to find a double when he was all in on the flop of {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

Shulman held {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} against his opponents {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

The turn and river fell the {K-Spades} and {3-Diamonds} to see Shulman double to just over 4,000 in chips.

On The Rail

Vengrin vanquished

Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson, Justin Young and Matt Vengrin have all hit the rail, soon trailed by Robert Williamson III.

Hellmuth Quartered

Catching the action on the turn with the board reading {7-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} Phil Hellmuth had his opponent all in.

Hellmuth: {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

"I guess you could hit a three" Hellmuth states as the cards are turned over.

The dealer then burned and turned the {3-Clubs} on the river to see Hellmuth get quartered and left with only 1,500 after his nut-low was chopped up.

Mercier Exits

Jason Mercier in action

On a flop of {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{J-Clubs} Jason Mercier got the last of his chips into the pot holding {A-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for top pair and the second nut-low draw.

His opponent that made the call however tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for a stronger top pair and nut-low draw.

The turn gave both players a low when it dropped the {8-Spades}, and when the {5-Diamonds} fell on the river, Mercier exited the tournament after being scooped by his opponent.

Gank Gets Quartered

There were three players to see the flop of {4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for 525 chips a piece.

After a check from the original raiser, the cutoff then bet 1,500. Brett Jungblut on the button decided to raise all in for around 3,000 and the cutoff made the call.

Jungblut showed {A-Hearts} {2-Spades} {K-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} for the nut low as his opponent table {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {2-Clubs} for the nut low and a pair of fives.

The turn {A-Spades} and river {9-Diamonds} were no help to Jungblut and he received just a quarter of the pot to go down to 2,450
