Keeping It Small

Omaha-8

The Omaha-8 round has been rather subdued so far with the last few hands resulting in two "raise and take it" hands and one walk.

On a rare hand that saw a flop, the action folded to Vitaly Lunkin on the button who put in a raise. Ville Wahlbeck called in the big blind.

The flop fell {4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Wahlbeck checked to Lunkin who tossed out a bet. Wahlbeck let it go and Lunkin collected the pot.

Wahlbeck showed {K-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} for a wheel and scooped the pot. He's now up to 1.6 million.

Lunkin Applying The Pressure

Omaha-8

Vitaly Lunkin raised it up and found two callers in Erik Sagstrom and John Hanson in the blinds.

The flop landed {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and action checked to Lunkin who fired a bet. Sagstrom called as Hanson stepped aside.

The turn was the {J-Spades} and Sagstrom checked to Lunkin who fired a second barrel. Sagstrom deliberated for several moments before finally releasing his hand.

Lunkin Starts Well in Stud

Stud

After the Razz round ended rather uneventfully, the players moved over to Stud with Vitaly Lunkin collecting the first pot of the round against Erik Sagstrom.

Lunkin: (X-X) {4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Sagstrom: (X-X) {J-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

Lunkin brought in and called on third and fourth streets before taking down the pot with a bet on fifth.

Share and Share Alike

They may be foes on the felt, but Erik Sagstrom and John Hanson are presently sharing a pack of some of the delicious Jack Link's beef jerky that has been brought to the table. Looks like teriyaki flavor from here...

Sagstrom Pairs Up To Take It Down

Stud

Bach: (X-X) {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Sagstrom: (X-X) (?) {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

John Hanson was the bring in with the {3-Spades} as David Bach completed. Erik Sagstrom made the call with an unknown card as the table folded around.

Sagstrom check-called on fourth but paired his king on fifth and fired a bet which was enough to take it down.
