Ship it to Sointula

Hold'em

On a flop of {Q-Clubs} {J-Spades} {3-Clubs}, Jani Sointula checked from the big blind, David Bach bet from the button, Sointula raised and Bach called. The turn was the {8-Hearts}. Sointula bet and Bach called. The river fell the {6-Clubs} and Sointula fired again, Bach making the call.

Sointula tabled {K-Clubs} {J-Clubs} for a king-high flush. Bach mucked and Sointula dragged the pot.

Sointula= 470,000
Bach= 390,000

Brunson Hanging Tough

Omaha-8

Doyle Brunson is hanging on as he's just found another double up to stay alive. This time the game was Omaha-8 with Brunson's last chips in preflop with {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, but he'd run into the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} of John Hanson.

The flop was very safe for Hanson when it fell {5-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. However Brunson caught running kings with the {K-Clubs} turn and {K-Hearts} river giving him the scoop. He's back to 60,000.

The board ran out {K-Clubs} {J-Spades} {10-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {10-Hearts}, Hanson flopping a straight to send Big Papa to the rail.

Habib Bleeding Chips

Stud-8

Hasan Habib has been amongst the leaders for the first two days of this H.O.R.S.E. but like a marathon, this event isn't won in the early stages.

Habib has been struggling today as we recently caught him tangling with Chau Giang in a recent Stud-8 hand where the two players switched control of the pot. Giang led on fourth, Habib took over on fifth before Giang led again on sixth. On the river Giang fired again but Habib gave it up.

Giang: (X-X) {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades} (X)
Habib: (X-X) {Q-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{J-Hearts} (X)

Giang is up to 300,000 with Habib down to just 170,000.
