Parker Plummets

Tom Schneider
Tom Schneider
We're seeing a lot of eliminations in rapid fashion now -- as well as a lot of volatility in the stacks thanks to those betting limits of 2,000/4,000.

We mentioned earlier how Greg Mueller had gone from the outhouse to the penthouse in a few short hands on Table #247. Brock Parker just took the opposite route, having been chip leader, then finding himself short-stacked and all in before the flop with {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs} versus Tom Schneider's {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. The board came {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}, and Parker is out in 5th at that table.

Early Out Too Early; Five Remain on Table #247

After Ronald Witteles raised from under the gun, Benjamin Early called with his remaining chips from middle position, as did Joep Van Den Bijgaart from the big blind.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, and both players still in the hand checked. Van Den Bijgaart then bet the {3-Hearts} turn, forcing Witteles out. Bijgaart showed {J-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Early {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. Early appeared in okay shape, but the river was the {J-Clubs}, giving Bijgaart two pair and knocking out Early.

They are now five-handed at Table #247.

Shiu Eliminates Siegal

Millie Shiu
Millie Shiu
Millie Shiu raised from under the gun, and Jeff Siegal called with the last of his chips from the small blind. Shiu had {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Siegal {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

The board came {A-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades} -- giving both players two pair, but Shiu the better two pair. Siegal is out, and they are now four-handed at Table #250, where Ben Ponzio still leads.

Beasley Out

After a flop of {3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Spades}, Mike Beasley exchanged bets with Daniel Kraus until Beasley had his last chips in the middle. Beasley had pocket eights, and was thus way behind Kraus' {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and the river the {3-Hearts}, and Beasley is out, leaving five players on Table #247.

Thorpe Out, Mueller and Parker Lead Table #247

Brock Parker
Brock Parker
Two players at Table #247 currently have most of the chips -- Greg "FBT" Mueller and two-time 2009 WSOP bracelet winner Brock Parker. Both are over 100,000 at the moment.

Parker recently had "Crazy Mike" Thorpe all in. Parker had {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Thorpe {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. The board brought no nine to save Thorpe, and he goes out in 7th at that table, leaving Mueller, Parker, and four below average stacks.

Oliveira, Plastik Out

Raul Oliveira was just knocked out, leaving Table #249 with four players.

And David Plastik soon followed him to the rail, meaning they are now five-handed at Table #248.

Always Look on the Bright Side

Jose Barbero
Jose Barbero
Jose Barbero was just now made to serve an one-orbit penalty at Table #245 for having had his cell phone out during a hand.

"Might've saved me some money," shrugged Barbero when telling a player at a neighboring table what had happened.

Mueller on a Rush

In the course of just a few hands, Greg "FBT" Mueller went from an extremely short-stack of 4,500 up to 100,000, eliminating Juha Helppi in the process. That's the first player to go over on Table #247, where Brock Parker still holds the chip lead.
