Vladimir Kochelaevskiy Eliminated in 16th Place ($19,068)

Vladimir Kochelaevskiy -- 16th Place
Vladimir Kochelaevskiy -- 16th Place
Vladimir Kochelaevskiy will probably be thinking about this day for a long time. After Michael Katz opened for 30,000, Kochelaevskiy re-raised to 80,000. Katz shipped in his whole stack of 361,000 and Kochelaevskiy snap-called with {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}. Katz said "Good hand," as he showed {K-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}, but it wasn't over yet.

The flop came {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts} {10-Spades}! Katz flopped the joint, then had to sweat two streets to see if the board would pair. It did not. Katz dragged the pot and left Kochelaevskiy with just 6,000 chips. Those chips went in on the next hand with a naked ace, but Jorg Peisert was dealt pocket queens. They held up to send Kochelaevskiy to the rail in 16th place.

Lynch Rises With a Double

Eric Lynch
Eric Lynch
Action folded around to the small blind, Joe Patrick, and he moved all in to attack Eric "Rizen" Lynch's big blind. Lynch squeezed his cards and then made the call. Lynch held {A-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} and Patrick held {K-Hearts} {10-Clubs}.

The board ran out {A-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {2-Spades} {8-Hearts} and Lynch earned the double up to 520,000. Patrick dropped to 295,000.

Watson Doubles through Holt

Karga Holt found himself in a bind. He had opened with a raise to 38,000 and was facing an all-in reraise to 150,000 total from Wes Watson.

"I don't know what to do," said Holt. "I don't have anything, but I don't think I can fold." Holt finally decided that no, he definitely couldn't fold, and called with {k-Spades} {10-Diamonds}. Watson showed {A-Spades} {Q-Clubs}, meaning Holt's cards were live.

"Thank you," said Holt. "That's exactly what I wanted to see." While that may have been the case, Holt didn't find any help on a board of {3-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {4-Spades} {3-Clubs} {j-Clubs} and was forced to pay Watson off.

An "The Boss" Tran Eliminated in 15th Place ($24,725)

An "The Boss" Tran moved all in from middle position for 162,000 total. Next to act was Jason DeWitt and he announced that he was all in for over 1.6 million chips. Everyone else quickly folded. Tran held {A-Clubs} {10-Spades} and DeWitt held pocket kings, {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {Q-Clubs} {3-Spades} {2-Clubs} {8-Spades} {K-Spades}, failing to improve Tran's hand better than DeWitt's and he was eliminated in 15th place.

Somerville Doubles Up

JCarver back over 30 BBs
JCarver back over 30 BBs
Action folded around to Jason "JCarver" Somerville in the small blind and he moved all in for 251,000 total. Jason DeWitt made the call out of the big blind holding {A-Clubs} {Q-Spades}. Somerville was ahead, but only slightly, with {9-Diamonds} {9-Spades}.

The flop came down {8-Hearts} {8-Spades} {4-Diamonds} and kept Somerville in the lead. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and kept things the same. The river was paint, but not the paint DeWitt was looking for with the {K-Spades}.

Somerville now has over 500,000 chips and back in action.

Katz a Little Steamed

Michael Katz thought he was in the big blind and put out 16,000 chips before the deal. He then stood up from his seat and took a few steps away from the table momentarily. When he came back, the cards were dealt and he realized he was under-the-gun. He tried to take his chips back but the dealer wouldn't allow it. A floor was summoned who made the same ruling.

Action folded to Michael Noda. He raised to 45,000, folding both blinds. Katz peeked at his cards, stewed a bit and then folded in disgust.

Alex Millar Eliminated in 13th Place ($24,725)

Alex Millar - 13th Place
Alex Millar - 13th Place
Alex Millar very succinctly summed up his Day 3 with the board showing {J-Clubs} {Q-Spades} {7-Hearts} {7-Diamonds}.

"I don't run good today."

Millar had re-raised to 125,000 from the small blind after Michael Katz opened for 39,000. Katz moved all in with {A-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} and Millar called with {8-Clubs} {8-Spades}. The fateful queen on the flop was indicative of a day gone horribly wrong for the man who started second in chips.

"Eight one time," he requested with a hint of desperation. He didn't get it. The {10-Spades} river completed Millar's stunning collapse. He leaves in 13th palce with $24,725.
