Break Time

Looks as though one happy gent is making himself $1,000 -- the board says 455 runners currently.

Off we go on a 30 minute break now (they'll be colouring up the 5 chips while we're gone).

And Still They Come

New arrivals include:

- Paul "Actionjack" Jackson
- Blair Rodman
- Derek Raymond
- Jan von Halle
- Katja Thater
- Max Pescatori
- Mickey Appleman
- Marsha Waggoner
- Tommy Hang
- Esther Taylor
- Jason Mercier

Who's Doing Well?

We know it's only two levels into this hi/lo limit tournament, but there's been some significant chip movement in some corners already.

Going Up

Jim Geary: 6,500
Marcel Luske: 6,000, much of it in the teeny tiny 5-denomination chips

Going Down

Dario Alioto: 2,600
Perry Friedman: 1,200

Parking Themselves Now

Talking of Parkers, we've got another one now -- Mr Brock Parker and his funny beard. Also now arrived -- Dan Heimiller, Sabyl Cohen-Landrum, Allen Cunningham, Norman Chad and Jerrod Ankenman.

Paul Parker Not Scooping Early

Paul Parker has not had an amazingly good start -- he's down to 3,300 already.

Nevertheless, he seems pretty cheerful about it. "Well, I'd rather do badly early. You've only got so many scoops in you in one day. I definitely don't want to scoop early."

426 Runners So Far

One gent will not be particularly happy if the numbers climb much higher -- the anonymous sir has $1,000 says that it won't make 500 runners. It's certainly making his first couple of levels much more interesting.

422 and Rising

As expected, numbers have gone through the Brasilia Room roof already -- we're up to 422 so far, and if many more turn up we're going to have to find us some more tables from somewhere.

Where's Lisandro?

Perhaps he feels like he should give someone else a chance in a stud event this Series, but so far there's been no sign of three-time bracelet winner so far this year Jeff Lisandro. Maybe he'll make it in later...
