The Going Gets Toth

Disaster for Richard Toth against Ian Woodley once more. All the money went in on the {8-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {3-Hearts} flop with Toth's {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} ahead of Woodley's {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}. The turn was the {10-Spades} but the river was the {J-Spades} and Woodley celebrated a big pot while Toth could only stand looking shocked.

Eilers Turns Cowboy

Before the flop, Ben Eilers and Jerry Connor got tangled up in a preflop raising war, and it ended with Eilers being all in for about 230,000. Connor had his man covered by 26,000, and he had "it", turning over {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}. Eilers couldn't believe his misfortune as he tabled {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}.

Not to worry though, Mr. Eilers. The flop was bone dry, but the {K-Spades} on the turn was a beautiful card indeed. In the end, the board read {9-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {K-Spades} {5-Spades}, good enough for an Eilers double up. He's moved to 460,000, while Connor is left with just those 26,000.

Connor would be eliminated on the next hand.

That's an Action Flop

Tim Kahlmeyer has sent an opponent to the rail on a flop of {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{5-Spades}. Kahlmeyer's {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} were in control as his opponent flipped {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} for top two pair.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and river the {J-Hearts} and Kahlmeyer now finds himself well placed with 875,000 chips.

Ivey Eliminates Another Opponent

Jason Tremblay was a recent addition to the feature table and his time in the spotlight didn't last long.

When Tremblay moved all in for 69,000 from early position, action folded around to Phil Ivey who made the call and we went heads up to the flop.

Tremblay: {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Ivey: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The flop of {3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} brought no help and the {8-Diamonds} on the turn effectively ended the hand. The river was a meaningless {5-Spades} and Tremblay's tournament was over.

Bonomo Eliminated

Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo was down to his last 120,000 or so when he picked up {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} on the button. Bonomo pushed all in, and got called by Adam Sanders in the small blind who held {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

The community cards came {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and Bonomo is out. Sanders now has 440,000.

A Royal Thirding Followed by a Royal Treble

What an exciting two hands for Royal Wiseman. First he called short-stacked Felix Osterland's all-in raise preflop, holding {6-Hearts} {6-Spades}. He was up against Osterland's {A-Spades} {2-Diamonds}, but couldn't fade the aces he needed to fade, {A-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {8-Hearts}. Paying off 107,000 to Osterland left Wiseman with 33,000.

Those chips were in on the next hand when Wiseman was under the gun and moved in first. Kent Goulding re-shoved all in and was called by Patrick Stemper!

Wiseman: {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts}
Goulding: {K-?} {K-?}
Stemper: {J-Spades} {J-Hearts}

Goulding got the side pot on a board of {4-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {A-Hearts} {7-Spades}, but the turn ace saved Wiseman's Main Event and gave him the main pot. He's back up to about 110,000.

Last Level

The announcement was just made that this will, in fact, be the last level played for the night. There are 20 minutes remaining in Level 17.

Levi Slips

David Levi
David Levi
David Levi had his opponent all in for his tournament life with all the chips in preflop. Levi held {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} for a narrow lead against his opponent's {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

That all changed on the flop of {3-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds} as Levi's opponent flopped a pair of queens. The turn was the {5-Hearts} and the river the {9-Hearts}, to leave Levi with just 100,000 chips.
