Sorel Mizzi Eliminated

Sayonnara, Sorel
Sayonnara, Sorel
Sorel Mizzi got the remainder of his stack in before the flop holding {A-?} {J-Clubs} and Scott Cook looked him up holding {9-Spades} {9-Diamonds}.

Cook hit a set on the {9-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} flop and Mizzi couldn't catch up, the turn falling the {K-Clubs} and the river the {10-Hearts} to send him to the rail.

After the hand, Cook was up to 811,000.

Jamin Is Stoked

Jamin Stokes has just doubled through Kara Scott. Stokes has flat-called an initial 20,000 raise before Kara Scott reraised to 100,000 behind.

The original raiser folded and Stokes moved all in after about 30 seconds of deliberation. Scott called with {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts} but was behind to her opponent's {K-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} which stayed ahead on the {3-Clubs} {8-Spades} {8-Clubs} {J-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} board.

Thuy Doan Done

A very short-stacked Thuy Doan was eliminated holding {A-Hearts} {2-Hearts}, tangled up in a pot with Hans Hein and Richard Harington. The board came out {6-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {3-Clubs} {4-Spades} {4-Diamonds}. Harrington tabled {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}, which Doan could beat. However, Hein showed {3-Diamonds} {3-Hearts}, and his full boat is good enough to send Doan packing.

Walls and Walls of Chips

Gabe Walls
Gabe Walls
On a flop of {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {2-Spades}, Dieter Albrecht led out for 35,000, Jamin Stokes flat-called from middle position and Gabe Walls raised to 200,000 from late position. Albrecht reraised all in, and Stokes got out of the way.

Albrecht {K-Spades} {J-Hearts}
Walls {K-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}

Walls was well in the lead with top two pair, Albrecht needed to catch a jack to survive. The turn was the {4-Hearts}, the river was the {4-Clubs} and Albrecht was eliminated while Walls raked in the massive pot, sending his stack up to 2,150,000.

Richard Toth Eliminated

Alex Prendes raised to 25,000 from middle position before Richard Toth reraised to 100,000 from the cutoff seat and was all in. Abraham Mourshaki called out of the small blind and then the original raiser, Prendes, folded.

Toth held {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades} and Mourshaki held {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}. The board ran out {9-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {2-Spades} {K-Spades} {4-Spades} and Mourshaki's aces held up to put him up to 1.2 million. Toth was eliminated.

Jamie Roberts Busts Out

Dreadful misfortune for Jamie Roberts, as he got his last 50,000 or so in with pocket queens and found himself thoroughly ahead of [Removed:197]'s {K-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}.

Nevertheless, the board came down a spiky {9-Spades} {K-Spades} {A-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {6-Spades} to send him to the rail.
