The Wind's Out of Vos' Sails

What an unfortunate turn card for Mark Vos. Vos opened for 500 preflop, then reraised to 6,000 after the big blind made it 1,500 to go. The big blind called to a flop of {3-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} {9-Clubs}, and quickly check-called another 4,500-chip bet.

Both players checked the {J-Diamonds} turn. When the river was a seeming blank, the {7-Hearts}, the big blind bet 10,000. Vos called with {A-Diamonds} {A-Hearts} and was shown a turned set, {J-Clubs} {J-Spades}. Vos sighed and mucked, slipping to just 7,150 chips in the process.
