Phan Drops a Few

Freddie Ellis brought it in with the {4-Spades}. Greg Mueller called, showing the {10-Clubs}. Ville Wahlbeck completed the bet wit the {Q-Diamonds}, and Tim Phan put in a raise on top of that. Ellis and Mueller got out of the way, but Wahlbeck made the call.

Wahlbeck: (X-X) / {Q-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {A-Hearts} / (X)
Phan: (X-X) / {A-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {K-Spades} / (X)

On fourth and fifth streets, Phan was the bettor with his ace-high, and Wahlbeck called both times. On sixth street, Phan fired again, drawing a raise from his opponent, which he called. Seventh street saw both men check. Wahlbeck tabled {Q-Spades} {5-Clubs} {4-Hearts} for queens up. Phan lamented that he had a pair of aces as he folded his cards under and returned them to the muck.
