Mueller Takes a Big Hit

Ellis, now with many, many more chips
Ellis, now with many, many more chips
Max Pescatori completed the bring-in with the {J-Hearts}, and Greg "FBT" Mueller popped it up showing the {6-Diamonds}. Freddie Ellis called, but Pescatori wouldn't come along.

Mueller: (X-X) / {6-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {5-Hearts} / (X)
Ellis: (X-X) / {7-Hearts} {4-Spades} {3-Spades} {6-Clubs} / (X)

Fourth street saw Ellis check-call a bet from FBT. Both players checked fifth street, and Ellis fired out on sixth. Mueller called a bet there, as well as one on seventh street. Ellis tabled {5-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}, having begun with buried fives and ending with a seven-high straight. Mueller flashed buried aces, but they were naked and not good enough to top Ellis. After that exchange, Mueller has spiraled down to about 80,000, now dangerously short on chips. Freddie Ellis, on the other hand, has been tearing through this final table, sitting on well over 1.3 million in chips.
