Erica Schoenberg Takes a Hit on the River

Erica Schoenberg
Erica Schoenberg
Erica Schoenberg called an all-in bet of 1,125 from the button, as did the player in the big blind.

The action went check-check on a flop of {3-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Erica pushed her remaining chips into the middle after her opponent checked the {Q-Diamonds} on the turn. When her opponent folded, Schoenberg tabled {A-?}{Q-?} for top pair, and the remaining all-in player tabled {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} before hitting a king on the river to take the pot.

Andy Black on a Heater

Andy Black has played and won three separate hands in the past few minutes.

In the first, he reraised all in preflop with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and got called by pocket eights. Black took the lead when the flop came {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}, leaving his opponent with an eight or a spade to make his hand. The turn and river came {K-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and Black doubled to 7,375.

Black was back at it a hand later in a four-way pot. Everyone checked the flop of {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and Black bet the {2-Diamonds} on the turn, getting one call. Black bet the {4-Clubs} on the river and showed {K-Diamonds}{10-?} to take the pot with trip 10s.

On the third hand, Black led out from the big blind on a flop of {3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} and got a call. He bet 500 when the {6-Hearts} hit the turn and 200 when the {3-Hearts} fell on the river.

When his opponent folded, Black showed the {7-Hearts} and took the chips. His stack is now at 9,500.

Bryan Micon Doubles Through Chris McCormack

Chris McCormack min-raised to 300 preflop and called Bryan Micon's reraise to 1,400.

On a flop of {10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}, Micon pushed all in for his last 975 and McCormack called. Micon showed {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} to McCormack's {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, and held on to take the pot when the {6-Spades} and {10-Diamonds} completed the board.

Micon is at 5,275 after the hand while McCormack is down to 1,425.

J.C. Tran Takes a Nice Pot

J.C. Tran raised to 450 from middle position and got three callers, including the players in both blinds.

Everyone checked the flop of {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Tran check-called a bet of 900 when the {A-Clubs} hit the board. He went heads up to the river where both players checked the {A-Spades}.

Tran showed {J-Spades}{7-Spades} for aces full of jacks and took the pot when his opponent showed pocket 4s. Tran now has 5,300 in his stack.

Chris McCormack Doubles Up

After losing a big pot to Bryan Micon, Chris McCormack rebuilt his stack when he got all of his chips in the middle on a board of {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

McCormack showed {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for straight and flush draws while his opponent showed {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} for a straight draw. When the {2-Diamonds} hit the river, McCormack's kicker was enough to win the pot. He's back at 3,700.

Ferguson Gets Respect

Action folded to the small blind, who raised to 550 preflop. Chris Ferguson took his time, as usual, before reraising all in for about 3,000.

The small blind instantly mucked, prompting the player in the cut off to joke to Ferguson, "That'll teach him."

Ferguson just smiled and stacked the chips.
