Joe Degeorge Makes a Costly Misread

Gary Tang
Gary Tang
We picked this hand up on the flop when Gary Tang led out for 70,000 on a board of {Q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Joe Degeorge raised all in for more than 200,000 and Tang instantly called, tabling {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}.

Degeorge, who showed {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} caught some outs when the {10-Hearts} fell on the turn, but missed both his flush and straight draws when the {2-Diamonds} hit the river.

After the hand, Degeorge said he thought Tang was betting with air and would fold to the big reraise. Unfortunately for him, he was wrong.

Tang is now one of the chip leaders with 625,000.
