How Do You Lose 120k in 60mins?

We're not sure either but Cody Slaubaugh has just busted in 86th place for $3,664. He started the day with 120,000 but just busted as the level went up. We don't have the details and after a guy has just lost a top ten stack in an hour it's probably best not to ask him!

Chips On Loan

Peter Gould is up to 140,000 after busting a player. I caught up with him as he was moving tables and he told me he lost lost a pot to this guy holding pocket queens to his ace-ten that caught up. But then he called a raise from the same player with {7-?} {5-?} and flop came {5-?} {5-?} {6-?}. All the chips went in but his opponent's {A-?} {6-?} was no good.

Carlos Mortensen Eliminated

Game over for Carlos Mortensen. He took a chance by limping {J-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} from under the gun and wound up taking a four-way flop of {5-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {7-Spades}. Both blinds checked to Mortensen, who led out for 3,500. The button player, Mats Garatin, raised to 10,000. Mortensen had only 17,500 total; after the blinds folded it went into the middle. Garatin called with {5-Spades} {4-Spades}. He missed the {2-Hearts} turn, but the river fell {6-Clubs} to fill his gutshot straight and send Mortensen to the rail.

89 players remain.

A Setback for Lee

Doug Lee made his move on the turn, but David Baker wasn't having any of it. Lee check-called 8,300 from Baker on a flop of {K-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {7-Clubs}. When the turn fell {3-Clubs}, Lee again checked. However, this time, when Baker bet 12,400, Lee check-raised all in. Baker snap-called for 44,100 more with {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts}. He was sitting pretty for a double-up against Lee's {10-Spades} {8-Clubs}, which he got when the board blanked out {J-Clubs}.

Lee is down to 80,000.

Bluffing Bansi

I reach the table with the turn out and the board reading {6-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {3-Clubs}. Praz Bansi is first to act from the BB and he bets 4,400 which is called by Mathieu Clavet on the button. The river comes {7-Clubs} and this time Bansi fires 13,700 which is called quickly by Clavet who tables {A-Clubs} {2-Clubs} which is good for the pot as Bansi mucks.

Bansi down to 100,000, Clavet to 170,000.

Smith Starting Off Slowly...?

Jeremiah Smith told us he was going to start the day off slowly. We'll have to ask him about the following hand, then, at the first break.

With the board showing {9-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {9-Spades} {6-Clubs}, Smith led out for 6,500. His opponent, Richard Robb, had the button and raised Smith to 26,500. Smith's response was to move all in for about 120,000 total. After Robb folded, Smith remarked, "Fours are no good," and flashed {K-Spades} {7-Spades} -- an up-and-down straight draw.

Smith is up to 151,000.

Haxton First Out

Busted
Busted
No second final table for Isaac Haxton at this year's series. He has seemingly been the first player eliminated today.

He raised it up and found a flat call from Alan Sass on the button before he led out on a {J-?} {9-?} {10-?} board. Sass called before he called Haxton's all in bet on the {4-?} turn. Haxton tabled {8-?} {8-?} but was behind to Sass' {A-?} {A-?} . The river bricked and Haxton wished everone good luck and left to collect his money.
