Poor David Squires. We feel bad for him after a recent brutality he suffered at the hand of Ramin Henke. We're not sure how the betting developed, but the board came . The last of the chips, about 93,000, went in there. Squires turned up for a flopped set of eights, but Henke turned up for a rivered set of aces.
Squires has just 14,000 chips left. Henke is up to 230,000.
Alan Sass raised from UTG and was called by chip leader David Fox on the button. They then proceeded to get it all in on a flop. Sass had and Fox had a drawing . The drawing didn't get there and Sass doubles to 102,600, Fox down to 220,000.
Charles Furey has just busted a player after making an all in call from Benjamin Gilbert on a flop holding . Gilbert held but missed on a turn and river.
Lots of Davids in this field. One of the David still remaining is David Daneshgar. He bet 6,900 on the turn of a board and was called by Praz Bansi.
The river came and brought a bet of 15,300 from Daneshgar. Bansi wasted no time in raising to 40,000. It was a raise that put Daneshgar deep into the thank. He stood up from the table, mumbled a few things to himself and to Bansi, then finally called. Bansi showed for trip fours.
"Sick river," muttered Daneshgar as he mucked. He has 50,000 chips now. Bansi is up to 140,000.
Markus Gonsalves has just been eliminated by Jonas Mackoff. We're not sure how the action unfolded but Gonsalves got unlucky on the river of a board. He held but Mackoff held to scoop the massive pot.
Three players saw a flop before Robert Toye moved all-in for 29,000. Rod Brown then reraised all in to isolate and it worked as the third player involved folded.
Toye showed for top two and Brown had for the nut flush draw. Instant service on the turn as appeared before the confirmed the winning hand.
Orange 66 is threatening to collapse under all the chips that have accumulated on that table. Bobby Firestone has 278,000; Bryce Yockey has 220,000; and a third player *had* 250,000.
We say *had* because he just doubled up Justin Young. It was a four-way raised pot with a flop that came down . Action checked to Young, who bet 16,5000, about a third of his stack. Young's opponent asked how much Young was playing behind, then raised to 50,000.
"Ahhhh, I thought I had a plan for this hand," lamented Young once everyone else had folded. He hemmed and hawed a minute more before moving all in with . He was called by , a hand that was drawing once the hit the turn. Young needed to avoid a river club to win the pot and did so when the fell. He doubled up to about 120,000.
The two short stacks at the table, Doug Lee and Jerimiah Smith, have just gone toe-to-toe over two hands that ended up with one of them on the floor (not literally).
Round one went to Lee after his UTG all in for 11,600 was called by Smith in the BB. Lee tabled to Smith's . The board ran to see Lee back to his corner with 28,000. Smith is a little bruised and battered but still in this with 30,000.
Round two saw Smith throw the first punch by moving all-in with but Lee countered with a call all in with . The killer board of saw Lee knocked clean out but he went down fighting.
Smith patched up now and ready for more battle with 78,000.
