A Few Less Davids

Stack consolidation continues apace in the Orange Section of the Amazon Room. Recent eliminations include a pair of Davids: David Gee and David Peters.

Gee went out at the hand of Joe Parille. Parille was facing an all-in raise of 25,000 preflop from Gee. He opted to call with {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}; Gee turned over {A-Clubs} {J-Spades}. As these things go, three-to-one is a decent edge to have but that "one time" comes more often than you'd like. It was Parille's time this hand, with a board of {4-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {2-Spades} {A-Hearts} giving him a wheel and the victory.

A few tables away, David Peters succumbed to the wildly resurgent David Baker in another preflop all-in confrontation. Baker tabled the best hand, {A-Clubs} {10-Hearts}, against the {Q-Spades} {J-Clubs} of Peters. Cue up the board: {10-Clubs} {4-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {5-Spades}. Game, set and match for Baker. Peters is out.

Baker, by the way started the day with 25,700 and is now up to about 260,000. Most impressive.
