Lucier Gives Some Up to Miller

Dan Miller limped into the pot from second position. The small blind called and Cary Lucier bumped it up to 2,100. Miller called and the small blind folded.

The flop was a draw-heavy {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Lucier checked, and Miller bet 1,500. Lucier called the bet and they were headed to the turn.

The turn was the {4-Clubs}. Once again, Lucier check-called, this time for 4,000.

The river was the {7-Spades}. Lucier checked the river and Miller announced he was all in for his remaining 3,825 chips. Lucier called and mucked when he saw Miller had flopped a straight with {8-}{q-}.

Davis Quickly Building a Decent Stack

There was about 6,000 in the pot preflop at Table 3 between the woman in the small blind and Mac Davis, who was on the button and sporting an old school Jerry Rice jersey. After the flop came {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{K-Clubs}, the small blind bet 1,500 and was quickly called by Davis. The woman slowed down and checked the {J-Hearts} on the turn, and Davis responded by firing out a bet of 7,000. This was too much for the small blind and she folded, giving Davis the pot and bumping his stack to 29,000.

McKellar Goes Up and Down

In our first hand, Kenyon McKellar raised to 2,300 from early position. He was called by the big blind.

The flop brought {8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the big blind check-called Miller's bet of 2,000.

The turn was {9-Spades}. The big blind checked once more, but called off their last 3,200 when McKellar announced he was all in. McKellar's {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} were behind the big blind's {a-Spades}{q-Spades}.

The river brought the {10-Diamonds} to McKellar, and he knocked out another opponent, growing his stack to 59,000.

The very next hand a woman announced she was all in for 4,975 on a flop reading {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. McKeller showed his {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} before folding, and he's back down to 57,000.

When he's not riding chip-swinging roller coasters, McKellar is a bartender at the Fiesta Henderson.

Christian Escano Trending Downward

Christian Escano is quickly sinking towards the bottom of the chip count. In this hand he announced he was all in preflop. When called by an opponent tabling {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, Escano assured him, "You've got me dominated." True to his word, Escano turned over {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}.

Escano would receive no help in a board reading {8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades} and is down to just 6,000 after doubling up his opponent to 11,000.

Reider Takes Down a Monster Pot

A monster pot just occurred at Table 2. With about 5,000 in the pot preflop, the flop came {5-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Spades}. Reider moved his entire stack, about 15,000, into the middle and was called by the player in Seat 3, who had a similar chip stack. When they flipped over their cards, Reider was ahead with the {Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} but his opponent had a lot of outs with the {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. The turn was the {4-Clubs} and the river {10-Diamonds}, giving Reider the pot and one of the biggest stacks in the room.

Reider Keeps on Rolling

All the money got in preflop between Chris Reider, who had {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, and his opponent who held pocket aces over at Table 2.

The pot was around 70,000 as the flop came {Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and the table erupted in disbelief. The {4-Spades} on the turn and {J-Spades} on the river changed nothing.

Reider has been on a heater this level and is now sitting on a massive chip stack.

Motoyama Puts a Cooler on the Cutoff

The player in the cutoff position raised to 2,500 preflop. Yuta Motoyama re-raised to 6,000, and Jack McClelland thought deeply for a moment before folding. The cutoff called and the two players were off to the flop.

The flop delivered {2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. Motoyama checked and the cutoff went all in for close to 10,000. Motoyama called and his {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} were well ahead of the cutoff's {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. The cutoff couldn't improve and was left empty handed, sending Motoyama up to about 42,000 in chips.

Shaun Harris Can't be Tamed

A woman in second position opened to 2,300. Shaun Harris was the only caller for a flop reading {7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs} which both players checked.

The turn was the {a-Diamonds}. The woman in second position bet 3,000 and Harris announced he was all in. His opponent folded and Harris added over 6,000 more chips to his monster stack.
