Kirk Morrison was the hard-luck story of the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship, going out on a hand where he bricked just about the biggest possible draw he could have. Things aren't getting any easier for him here in the $10,000 Stud Championship.

Morrison completed third street and was called by Steven Landfish. Both players made open pairs on fourth street; Landfish's queens were ahead of Morrison's eights. Landfish bet and Morrison called.

Both players then checked fifth street. When Landfish caught an ace on sixth, he bet there and then bet again on the rivr. Morrison called both times, but couldn't beat Landfish's queens ful, {j-Diamonds} {q-Diamonds} {j-Clubs}. "Nice hand, man," said Morrison.

Morrison is floundering with 11,000. Landfish is up to 53,000.
