Off to the Races

Daniel Carter
Daniel Carter

Daniel Carter raised preflop to 18,000 and had Russell Pittman move all in for approximately 160,000. Carter called immediately and turned over {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and was racing against Pittman's {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

The flop came down {3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, keeping Carter in the lead. Pittman stood from his seat and eagerly awaited a king or ace on the turn. When the {8-Clubs} hit, he was down to one last card for his tournament life.

The {9-Hearts} on the river ended Pittman's day and left Carter with a stack of 560,000.
