Carter Takes Small One From Gavatin

Mats Gavatin opened to 25,000 from middle position and Daniel Carter three-bet to 70,000 from the hijack.

Gavatin took some time deliberating before making the call as both players checked the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop.

The turn landed the {K-Diamonds} and again both players checked to see the {Q-Clubs} fall on the river.

Gavatin checked for a third time and Carter tossed out a bet of 52,000 to prompt a fold from Gavatin.

As Carter raked in the pot to climb to 715,000, he stated, "it wasn't a great flop for me!"
