After eight levels of play and three-quarters of the field hitting the rail, we have finally come to a conclusion for day one of Event #14: $1,500 2-7 Draw Lowball.

250 players took to the felt this morning with a stellar field assembling including the likes of Mike Matusow, Daniel Negreanu, Barry Greenstein, Greg Raymer and the old hands of the game including Archie Karas, Berry Johnston, Dewey Tomko and five-time 2-7 bracelet holder Billy Baxter. Unfortunately these players - along with reigning Champion Phil Ivey - all fell to the rail as 67 players bagged up chips at days end.

Nick Binger is leading the field into day two after taking some crucial pots of Brandon Cantu to sit with an amassed 54,300 in chips. Snapping at his heels however are Scott Seiver (46,875), David 'Chino' Rheem (42,725) and Josh Arieh (32,725).

Still in contention for the fourteenth bracelet of the series are Erick Lindgren, JC Tran, Jeff Lisandro, Ted Forrest and many others as we look to play through to the money of twenty-eight places, and then through to a final table.

Play is set to begin at 3:00pm PST tomorrow with the remaining players looking to jostle into position to vie for the $92,817 first prize, coveted bracelet and title of Event #14 Champion!
