The players are refueled and refreshed and play is back underway! We'll be playing four more levels this evening before we call it a night.
Philip Braeutigam raised to 1,000 from early position and Dani Stern made the call. They checked a flop of before the landed on the turn. Stern fired out 1,600 and Braeutigam made the call.
The river was the and again both players checked. Stern tabled pocket deuces but Braeutigam showed for the best hand to take it down. Both players now sit with about 18,000 chips.
When we arrived at the table Jonathan Aguiar told us that "I just lost a 100k pot with aces!"
The very next hand Aguiar went all in for 1,500 chips and an opponent called.
Showdown
Aguiar:
Opponent:
Board: and Aguiar is out of the tournament.
Al "Sugar Bear" Barbieri has extended his chip lead and now sits with 90,000 after eliminating another short-stacked player.
Barbieri made the call with and had live cards against the short stack's . The board fell to pair up Barbieri's king and send his opponent home.
Kenneth Terrell has doubled through after a very nice river went his way to crack the pocket queens of his opponent. All the chips were in preflop, with Terrell holding and when the first four cards were spread a player turned to Terrell and commented, "...you have outs!"
Indeed he did, as the spiked to give Terrell a straight and the double up to 31,000 chips.
With three limpers in the pot, Greg "FBT" Mueller popped it up to 2,800 from the small blind. He reduced the field by one as three players saw the flop.
Mueller led out with a bet of 2,400 and found himself one caller in Kevin Haw early position. On the turn Mueller checked and Haw bet 3,700. Mueller then put in a cheeky min-raise to 7,400 and it was back on Haw who decided enough was enough as he moved all in. It was only another 6,000 to Mueller to call but he gave it up. Haw is up to 30,000 while Mueller is back in the pack with 26,000.
Stian Stabell is feeling rather relaxed right about now, after he just doubled up through an opponent with a classic two outer.
The chips were in preflop with Staball tabling to be in a world of hurt against his opponent's .
The board ran out and Staball dings a nine on the turn to double up to 23,000 chips.
