Welcome Back to Day 2!

Good afternoon from the Rio, and welcome back for moving day of the big $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event. This event drew a stacked field of 792 runners, and we've still got 205 of them left as Day 2 dawns. That gives us quite a full day of work as we play ten levels to get us as close to our final table of nine as we can manage before the bags come out early tomorrow morning.

With such a strong field, it's no surprise to find so many familiar names atop the leader board after one day of action. Mohsin Charania and Antonio Esfandiari are just outside the top ten, trailing new bracelet winner James "Flushy" Dempsey, Jeff Williams, and Chino Rheem by a few places. Everyone's chasing Steven Goosen, though, his finishing count of 229,000 putting him out in front of the pack with two days of pokering left.

We're about twenty minutes away from our scheduled starting time of 2:30 p.m., and the final preparations are being made to the tournament tables. The chip bags have come out over here in the Red section of the Amazon Room, and the dealers are busy divvying them up and double-checking their decks. All signs point to an on-time start, so we'll be back in just a few minutes when the cards go flying.
