All Dressed Up for Nothing

Pot-Limit Omaha:

Mike Matusow is known as a damn fine Omaha player. His early-position raise to 2,500 was called by Alex Kostritsyn from the cutoff. The two men got all of the chips in after a series of raises on a flop of {6-Spades} {10-Clubs} {7-Clubs}. Matusow was the player at risk of elimination. He tabled the nuts with a full house re-draw, {7-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}. Surprisingly, Kostritsyn also had the nuts with a flush re-draw, {8-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {9-Hearts} {q-Clubs}. Nothing changed after the turn and river missed both players, {q-Spades} and {8-Spades}. Chop it up. Matusow remains in the tournament.
