Pulling the Trigger

With Mike Puskarich grinding his 2,500 stack like Tony Hawks on Red Bull, and Nicholas Verkaik struggling with 6,200, the feature table seemed like the most likely source of our bubble to the bubble.

Jonathan Little is also on the table, and he appears to be taking full advantage of those looking to creep into the money. On this, occasion, however, it backfired, Little's raise to 2,500 from UTG+1 being met by a hesitant/reluctant all-in from Verkaik two seats down.

Verkaik didn't look comfortable, and grimaced like a gurning champion before tabling the bullets, {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{A-Spades}{9-Hearts}, and rising nervously from his seat. He needn't have worried though, as although Little's {7-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{J-Spades} gave him a mini sweat on a {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{3-Spades} board, the river came a harmless {10-Diamonds} to keep him alive.
