Break Time
It's time for the first 20 minute break of the day, and also for the short-lived 5-denomination chips to be colored up. They'll be missed - they made everyone's stack look huge.

The stacks look considerably smaller now, but in reality they are not. Good game, red T5 chips.
Play continues.
Registration is now closed. A total of 408 players signed up to play today's event. Some of our late arrivals include:
Chau Giang
Tom Dwan
Men "The Master" Nguyen
Chris Ferguson
David "Chino" Rheem
Greg Raymer
Phil Ivey
Michael Binger
Of the 408 currently playing, only 40 will make the money. We'll bring you the payout schedule as soon as it is available.
Mel Judah, short after a couple early encounters went wrong, found himself all in on third or fourth street against Jean Gaspard.
The cards, in no particular order:
Judah: for two pair by the end
Gaspard: for trips
Judah busted out well before dinner, and Gaspard increased to 9,000 or so.
Fricke: (X-X-X) /
Seat Two: (X-X) / - FOLDED
Seat Three: (X-X) /
We came into this hand after the players had bet on third street. Jimmy Fricke had led the action all the way through seventh street. The player in Seat Two called him through to sixth street before folding, but the player in Seat Three followed Fricke the whole way.
When the hand was over, Fricke announced "aces up," but lost the pot when his opponent tabled a set of queens.
Nguyen: (X-X-X) /
Opponent: (X-X-X) /
Men Nguyen had made a bet on seventh street when his opponent laid his hand down, saying "I'm only folding because it's The Master." Nguyen confirmed his opponent's decision-making process, saying "You save 200."
Nguyen was up to 6,000 after the hand.
A total of 408 players entered this event, and 40 of them will be getting paid. The $550,800 prize pool will be divvied up according to the usual formula, with 40th place getting $2,985 and first place taking home $140,000 and a shiny gold bracelet.
By the by, among our field is last week's Stud Hi/Lo 8-or-better bracelet winner Frank Kassela, who is letting girls try on said bracelet. A word of warning to the eventual winner - make sure they spell your name right when they're doing the engraving...
Rich: /
Opponent: (X-X-X) /
With no betting on third street, Jordan Rich check-called a fourth street bet from his opponent. Rich made one more call on fifth street, but raised a sixth-street bet and got the call. Rich's opponent checked seventh street and Rich made one more bet, with his opponent calling.
Rich tabled a queen-high straight and his opponent mucked. Rich is now up to 9,500 chips.
David Williams is down to 2,200 after betting out on streets three to five, but check-calling on sixth and then check-folding on seventh. The cards looked like so:
