The Last Tran Standing

The perpetually massaged J.C. Tran
The perpetually massaged J.C. Tran

J.C. Tran was all in for his last 2,000 chips before the flop, and he was called by JJ Liu before Justin Parmann raised in the big blind. Liu called the extra bet, and they headed off to the flop of {J-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {10-Clubs}. Liu check-called a bet there, and she check-folded on the {2-Diamonds} turn. The {7-Clubs} filled out the board.

Tran showed {K-Hearts} {8-Clubs} for a big miss, and Parmann's nothing beat Tran's nothing. He turned up {A-Spades} {Q-Hearts}, picking up the pot and sending J.C. out through the double doors.

We had three unrelated Trans begin this event (J.C., Theo, and Jimmy), and none of the three have managed to make the money.
