Martin Bounced

A player opened to 700 from early position and Michael Martin shoved for 4,175 more on the button. The action folded back to the original raiser who called with a monster - {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Martin opened {A-Spades}{K-Spades} and was a slight favorite until the flop fell {J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Martin couldn't improve on the turn ({6-Hearts}) or the river ({2-Clubs}) and was eliminated from the tournament.

There have been a few other eliminations recently including Marcel Luske and Owen Crowe.

Why Can't We Be Friends?

Table 5 sits right in front of our desk, and for the entire day they've had problems. The floor has been called over numerous times and there is periodic shouting and arguing coming from that general direction.

We haven't been able to detect what the issue is, but there are players at the table who have a serious problem with one another.

Unfortunately for them their table will never break and they will just have to learn to get along.

I Like Ike

Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

Isaac Haxton opened to 950 from under the gun and the action folded all the way to Chad Batista who defended his big blind.

The flop fell {9-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Spades} and both players checked.

The turn brought the {K-Diamonds} and Batista checked again. Haxton reached for chips and grabbed a yellow T1,000 chip before placing it down and checking behind.

The river was the {J-Spades} and Batista checked a third time. Haxton quickly bet 1,600 and Batista made the call.

Haxton showed {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for broadway and Batista flashed {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs} before sending his hand into the muck.

Haxton is up to 13,600 now and Batista slipped down to 32,000

Durrrr Gaining Steam

Tom Dwan
Tom Dwan

We promise we're not just camped out at Table 23, they're just the only ones providing any action.

The board read {10-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} when Tom "durrrr" Dwan led for 1,350 and a player in the cutoff raised to 4,000. Dwan shoved all in and the player in the cutoff folded.

"Nice bet," he said to Dwan.

Durrrr is steadily chipping up and is now at 29,500 chips.

Maridu Out

The board read {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} when Maria "Maridu" Mayrinck checked to her opponent who bet 1,500. Maridu check-raised all in to 7,475 and her opponent called.

Showdown
Maridu: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Opponent: {Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The {7-Clubs} on the river was no help to Maridu and she was eliminated.

Feldman Falls

Andrew Feldman open shoved for 2,750 from under the gun and the action folded to the big blind who only had 1,750 and called all in.

Showdown
Feldman: {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Mr. Big Blind: {A-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The board ran {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{a-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the shorty doubled through Feldman.

Feldman hit the rail soon after.
