Scharf Start

Eddy Scharf opened to 150 from early position and the action folded to the blinds. Lee Childs called out of the small blind and a player in the big blind called as well.

The dealer fanned {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{J-Clubs} and the action checked to Scharf who continued for 300. Childs was his only caller.

Both players checked the {7-Spades} on the turn and the river brought the {2-Spades}. Childs led for 500 and Scharf made the call.

Childs tabled {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a pair of jacks but Scharf opened {Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades} for the same pair and a better kicker shipping him the pot.

Scharf is up to 10,000 chips and Childs has slipped below starting stack to 6,325.
