Lunkin Snaps off Hsiung's Aces

Kenny Hsiung made a button raise, Vitaly Lunkin three-bet from the big blind and Hsiung came right back at him with a four-bet. Lunkin called and they saw a {K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop. Lunkin check-called Hsiung's bet. The turn was the {Q-Hearts} and Hsiung led again. Lunkin raised and Hsiung called. The river was the {K-Diamonds} and Lunkin checked. Hsiung thought for quite a while before putting in one more bet. Lunkin snap-called.

Lunkin showed {K-Spades}{6-Spades} for trips, snapping off Hsiung's {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. Lunkin is up to 115,000.

Painter Pulls Another

On a flop of {8-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {5-Clubs}, Jameson Painter fired out a bet from the small blind. Greg DeBora and Phil Galfond were the other two players in the hand, and they came along with the calls to go three-handed to the turn.

It was the {8-Spades}, and this time the first two players check-called a bet from Galfond. All three players checked the {K-Diamonds} river, and Painter showed his {A-Hearts} {K-Spades} first. Nobody could beat that top pair, and that pot moves Painter up to 145,000.

DeBora is down a bit to 131,000, while Galfond is left with 55,000.

Chen Dancing Toward the Top

We walked up to a turned board showing {9-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {A-Clubs}, and Christoph Kwon put out the first bet. Bill Chen raised, Kwon reraised, and Chen fired right back over the top with another raise. Kwon flatted this time, and he'd check-call one more bet on the {7-Hearts} river.

Chen tabled {A-Spades} {9-Clubs} for top two, and that was the best had. He drags the pot, moving his stack up to about 140,000 now, while Kwon is back around 50,000.

Harman Takes a Hit

Jennifer Harman raised from the button and Patrick Walsh defended his big blind. The flop was {K-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Walsh check-called a bet from Harman. Both players checked the {4-Clubs} on the turn. The river was the {6-Hearts} and Walsh led out. Harman called.

Walsh showed pocket deuces for a set and Harman mucked. She's down to 52,000.

Cards Down!

It was a battle of the blinds when the dealer ran out a flop of {7-Clubs} {K-Clubs} {5-Diamonds}. Ray Henson bet out from the small, and Greg DeBora called from the big.

That led them to the turn {3-Diamonds}, and DeBora called another bet. On the {4-Diamonds} river, Henson fired one final bullet only to see DeBora bump it up to two bets on a last-minute raise. Henson called, and DeBora showed him {A-Clubs} {6-Spades} for the run-down straight. Henson flung his cards high into the air, and they spilled off the table and onto the floor. He retrieved his {K-Spades} {10-Clubs} long enough to sling them into the muck, and his stack has taken a hit down to 39,000.

DeBora is now quite healthy with about 180,000 in front of him.

Deeb's Day is Done

Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

Shaun Deeb was over 100,000 when this level started, but he's managed to burn through that stack in short order to find himself out of chips entirely just a few orbits later.
