Day 1b is History

10 levels have been and gone, and Day 1b is now just a memory.

After some speculation that this tournament might take an unprecedented turn and actually make the money on Day 1, it looks like we have escaped that problematic fate by a decent margin.

The number on the board when the clock was stopped was 207, so by our reckoning somewhere in the region of 200 players from Day 1b will be returning tomorrow to join the 276 survivors from Day 1a. 441 places pay out, so we are expecting a short, sharp bubble come the morrow.

Braxton Dunaway looked to be the chip leader at close of play, but there are a clutch of other players including Thomas Jonides, Matt Berkey and T. J. Boytor hot on his heels.

Play will resume at 2.30 PT tomorrow. Be sure to join us back here to see who secures a place in WSOP history, and who just ends up busted.
