Josephy Surrenders

Razz

Awad: (X) (X) / {8-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {6-Spades} {4-Spades}
Josephy: (X) (X) / {q-Spades} {5-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}

Cliff Josephy caught the bring-in, then watched as three other people limped in. He mentioned that he hadn't looked at his hole cards and was afraid he'd find something that would get him in trouble. On fourth street, Awad bet and folded two other players. Josephy looked at his down cards and then called.

The action was the same on fifth street, with Awad betting the better board and Josephy calling. On sixth street, Josephy paired and Awad caught good again.

"That's bulls***", said Josephy. He flashed {2-} {7-} and then mucked. Awad showed {8-} {4-}, two pair.

"Oh god," said Josephy. "I had the best hand. Good hand."

"You should have been more stubborn," said another player at the table.

Josephy has about 118,000.

Stud

Cantu: (XX){k-Clubs} / {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Van Alstyne: (X){3-Hearts}{3-} / {3-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Brandon Cantu had raised on third street with James Van Alstyne making the call. Cantu bet again on fourth street with Van Alstyne once again calling.

When Cantu bet on fifth street, he was raised by Van Alstyne and called. Cantu was all on on sixth street, but his two pair were no good against Van Alstyne's boat. He failed to improve on the river and walked away.

Turner Scoops to Stay Afloat

Omaha 8/b

Three people were in the pot for the flop at Ryon Nicholson's table: Nicholson, Dustin Leary and Jon Turner. Action checked to Turner on an all-spade flop of {6-Spades} {j-Spades} {7-Spades}. His bet folded Nicholson but drew a call from Leary.

Leary check-called another bet on the {10-Clubs} turn and a third on the {8-Hearts} river. He mucked after Turner turned over {a-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} {7-Hearts} for two pair, sevens and sixes, and the nut low.

Turner is threatening to break 100,000 in chips. Leary is down from his high point to about 180,000.

George Lind

Hold'em

George Lind was down to just about 11,000 chips when he raised from the button, getting a call from Nicholas Derke in the big blind.

When flop came {10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} Derke led out with a bet and Lind raised, putting himself all in. Derke responded with a call.

Lind: {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Derke: {10-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Lind wasn't able to catch up when the turn brought the {8-Hearts} with the {5-Hearts} following on the river.
