Radoja Nguyens One

Mark Radoja opened to 130,000 on the button and Men Nguyen tanked in the small blind. He asked for a count and the announcer said Radoja had about two million. Nguyen opted to call and Jeffrey Papola surrendered his big blind.

Nguyen checked after the flop fell {k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Radoja continued for 160,000. Nguyen called.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and Nguyen check-called 180,000 from Radoja.

Both players checked after the {j-Spades} rivered and Radoja waited for Nguyen to open his hand.

"One pair," Nguyen said.

"Open your hand," Radoja basically commanded.

Nguyen showed {a-Spades}{5-Spades} for a pair of fives but Radoja showed a better pair; {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a pair of eights.

Radoja won the pot chipping up to 2,370,000 and Nguyen is now in trouble with 870,000.
